Ball-buster race

Last Sunday (20th) I took part in the Eton Supersprint triathlon, it was the first sporting event I ever took part in since I was, gosh ... 18? ... can't remember really, Im not a very sporty person but my friend Alistair was going and he asked if I wanted to give it a try.. so why not?

My preparation over the last few weeks had been pretty minimal, I was moving house so a big chunk of my free time was dedicated to that. In the end I think it was the last two weeks that I started getting a bit more serious but still, even the day before I wasnt sure if I was going to race at all.

The event was pretty fun, it was a beautiful sunny day with no wind, I had a go and did ok on the swimming and not so well on the cycling and running. I ended up 103rd out of 110 guys in my age group.. Not bad considering my only aim was to finish the race!! :)
