Snorkeling with Miggie

Monday Javi and I went off to stay with my brother Miguel for a couple days after seeing mum off at the airport. Miggie is a marine botanist at the local uni and lives on the coast south of Hobart near Bruny Island.. He’s got a fishing licence and goes diving, snorkeling and spear-fishing often looking for abalone (see pic left), atlantic salmon, crayfish, squid etc.. The water was freezing cold (about 10 degrees) and I saw a couple of sting-rays, lots little fish and sea urchins, even spotted an adult abalone about the size of my hand but I wasn’t carrying a diving knife to get unstuck from the rock so I lost it. :(
